The story of Atelier Walkley, the soul of our longboards and skateboards!

It all started in 2018, when, as a graphic designer by training, I set out to create decks for my loved ones. This project, initially fictitious, aimed to explore the art of branding, but it quickly evolved into much more than that. Atelier Walkley was born from my growing passion for creating handcrafted skateboards and longboards.

The name Walkley is meaningful to us, as it evokes the street where it all began. Our workshop is a place where every board becomes a work of art, where individuality and creative expression are at the heart of every creation.

Our mission is clear: to offer our customers a personalized experience by designing high-quality boards, made with passion in Quebec. We are convinced that each board, whether skateboards or longboards, must be a unique creation, just like its rider.

Our vision goes beyond simply selling boards. We aspire to become your trusted destination for all your urban boarding desires. Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or a novice in this fascinating world, we are here to accompany you every step of the way.

Atelier Walkley’s visual identity reflects our commitment to simplicity and elegance, with inspirations drawn from nature. Our colour palette, inspired by green and beige, recalls the wood grain of our boards. Our design plays with linework, evoking topographical lines and fingerprints.

We are also proud to contribute to the preservation of our planet. With every purchase you make from us, we plant a tree, because we believe in environmental responsibility.

Join the Walkley Workshop community, explore our unique creations and be part of our mission for a greener future. Thank you for choosing Walkley Workshop, where every board is a work of art, and every rider finds inspiration.

The fascinating evolution of longboarding, a journey into the world of urban riding!

The history of longboarding is a fascinating saga that has its roots in skateboarding, but has evolved into a completely unique dimension. Much like skateboarding, longboarding has its origins in the 1950s in California, USA. Initially, skaters used longer boards in search of a smoother, more fluid ride, inspired by surfing. Early longboards were often made from recycled surfboards. Over the decades, longboarding has evolved, giving rise to various riding styles, such as dancing, downhill, slalom, and many others. Modern longboards are designed with a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials to suit the needs of each rider. Today, longboarding has become a sport in its own right, with a thriving culture and community that celebrates the freedom, fluidity, and art of riding a longer board. A history rich in evolution and adventure on urban surfaces.
